The Quality Magazine

Vogue 2008 march issue, very inspiring!HIGH- DEFINITION the editorial,; the cast of models, the scene and specially the edition of the clothes, everything was truly good. I haev to say, I really admire Anna Wintour, sheis hard, but in every month, she and the Vogue magazine contributors make really good fashion editorials, there is always something interesting. It sounds quite stupid, but Vogue Paris is oscilating in its quality, the april issue with Kate Moss on the cover was Just about the rumors about the Hedi Slimane photoshoot. The Darai Werbowy editorial looked like an interpretation of the Balmain campaign and the Moss photographs are nothing beyond than good, the + 1 were the Sliame and nature theme editorials.
Today I was asking myself why does not Vogue U.K have so much Power as Vogue U.S.A, Vogue Paris and Vogue Itália?
I mean the issues are alwas good and quite exotic, but they don´t choose AA way to GO, inspiring as Vogue Itália or commercial as Vogue U.S.A ( I am talking about the covers).

Back in the Vogue U.S.A, Iwas looking at the april issue and Raquel & Carol did good spring editorials, prepare to be blinded by flowers, la vien en flower?!?

Last Words, Harper´s Bazaar, Glenda dissapoints the fashion world, she tries to hard to be glamorous; in a recent interview abou the spring summer 2008 Miu Miu collection, she said she didn´t know how she would wear the mini skirts wich were on the runway and after her Franca Sozanni said the important in not how to wear it, but the meaning of the clothes, the artisy appeal, the codes of the collection.

Different opinions, different publication, "different" qualities...

Same sounds....

Fashion people!!! Has anyone noticed the soundtrack of Versace and Chanel, the music is the same on the opening of the show!Interesting how this think happened a week later on Chanel , the mood was good for Versace totally intellectual sexy, but for Chanel maybe they should be more inspired from Jil Sander´s soundtrack, classic- electric, if u know what I mean?….

Roberto Cavalli! Emilio Pucci

I know maybe Cavalli does not do the best ad campaigns and fashion shows on earth, but for a few seasons I’ve been thinking how great is his cast for the campaigns:
For this season he is really inspired…
On Roberto Cavalli the models are: Daria Webowy, Eva Herzigova and Kate Moss!!!
Just Cavalli, Lara Stone and Angela Lindvall by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. (Interesting to see a more sensual Stone than rocker, if you know what I mean…)
And this trend about covering the model’s face was seen on Just Cavalli´s ads for a few seasons ago, the hair of the models covered her. It was quite exotic when I saw this for the first time, sorry for not having the photos here.
And on last fall winter collection of Roberto Cavalli, a week before Balenciaga, he showed the joghpur pants on the runway and no one gave him credit for that trend, were people blinded on that show?!?
C’mon he puts one of the best models alive on his campaigns together, buy the way every season. That is a luxury!
In the other hand, I thought Emilio Pucci´s campaign with the collaboration by Teller was not the best choice for the bran , his work is more alternative for this vivacious brand I connect him with YSL and Marc Jacobs, they chose go for Mari Testino the colors of the clothes would be highlighted as he does. But if they don’t fire Mathew Wiliasson the bran d will not go forward, it’s cruel but I think that his work is not respectful for this brand, it has such a powerful history and his design does not match with that.

Vogue Nippon April 2008

...featuring Daria Werbowy.
Yes that what you read, Vogue Nippon (JAPONESE) April 2008, a little bit fast, don’t you think so? Was this “G supposed to appear on the cover? If it was intentional it is really annoying.Japanese Vogue always put great top models on the cover, last issue was Angela Lindvall, Sasha Pivovarova… and another new top girls.
Why all the covers from this magazine the scenario is always on studio and white, has anyone noticed that? By the way this is a Gucci dress from Spring Summer 2008, talking about Gucci his last fashion show was a break point for me to understand what Frida is doing, I mean she is not a very good designer and her clothes so far didn’t shocked impressed or superadded the expectations, but she has a good view and at least we have to say, the clothes are well done.

Jil Sander

I really love Raf Simons. As a man I think that he is pushing forward men’s fashion and even woman, the tweed work was so unique and very different and not so classic. For you to understand what I am saying, what is the first brand you think when the world Tweed comes out?

Chanel, of course.

I still think that the brand need to invest on accessories (like shoes or purses), as Prada, Jil Sander has to make the accessories go forward as the clothes does.

Prada Outrageous!

Prada fashion show was without words to describe how forward it was: in make up clothes accessories shoes and even models (a black model didn’t appear on Prada since 97, so disappointing to write that). But some people haven’t seen this photo yet:
It is really shocking and reminds me of an old Saint Laurent fashion show where the transparency let’s say politely was in the same area.

The Missed Givenchy Spring 2008 CAMPAING

Hey fashion people; has anyone missed the Givenchy ad campaign?
So did I, but why people are deserting Givenchy?

The campaign is almost great. Models: MariaCarla Boscono (fabolously back )and Lara Stone are rocking on it.It is really good to see the contrast between the clothes and the historical building behind the girls. So much better than Balenciaga, Chanel, Burberry…
